Flickr Tickr Flash Tool
I created this Flash tool just for fun to play around with the Flickr API.
The “Flickr Tickr” connects to Flickr to retrieve all the latest photo uploads in almost real time.
The flash tool internally fills a queue that is being worked off in a special manner. There’s also a function that prevents duplicate entries.
New photos are displayed as a dynamic grid that matches the browser window size.
I also added some special features. The tool pauses itself if the user wants to visit the page of one of the displayed photos. The flash also features a handy function to change the background color. It’s all Actionscript of course.
